Your Vision, Our Mission is dedicated to discovering original Chinese-language stories with commercial potential, genre appeal, and strong screen adaptation value. We aim to help writers transform their ideas on the page into motion picture development and production opportunities, giving outstanding stories the chance to reach audiences on screen.
The winning screenplay of the first edition, Don’t Father Me!, successfully entered production following its selection announcement in December 2024. It immediately moved into development, where the screenplay was further refined based on market positioning, narrative cohesion, and practical production requirements. The production officially wrapped in April this year. Produced by Benson Chen, the film brings together acclaimed director Fu-Hsiang Hsu (LoveSick) and an award-winning production team, with an all-star cast led by Aaron Kwok, Wang Po-chieh, Chen Yi-han, and Yang Kuei-Mei.
This year, we continue our mission to discover the next original story worthy of being brought to the screen. By connecting writers to the development and production process, we hope to help these stories engage with audiences, and step onto the international stage.

Submission Specifications

Format:
A feature-length screenplay with a running time of 90 minutes or longer.
Required Submission Materials:
•Complete dialogue screenplay
•Character biographies (within 300 Chinese characters)
•Story synopsis (800–1,200 Chinese characters)
•Logline (within 200 Chinese characters)
Please note: Screenplays submitted in languages other than Chinese must include, at a minimum, a logline and synopsis in Chinese.

Evaluation
Round One:
The Wanin Visual team (hereinafter referred to as the Organizer) will conduct a preliminary evaluation of all submitted screenplays and supporting materials. Selected entries will advance to the finalist stage.
Round Two:
Each finalist will be invited to deliver an individual project presentation (pitch) to the Organizer. Upon completion of all presentations, the Organizer will evaluate each project based on the quality of the pitch, development potential of the screenplay, and overall collaboration prospects. At least three winning screenplays will be selected from among the finalists. Where deemed necessary, the Organizer reserves the right to ask questions, conduct discussions, or request additional information or clarification during the presentation or evaluation process.
Results
Round One:
The shortlisted entries will be announced on the official event website, and will be notified individually by email in November.
Round Two:
The selection results will not be announced on the day of the pitch presentations. After all finalist teams have completed their presentations and the overall evaluation process has concluded, the selected projects will be announced on the official event website. The selected applicants will also be notified individually by email.
Awards and Rights
Finalists selected in the first round must sign the Finalist Agreement. By signing the agreement, finalists acknowledge and agree to comply with all rules and procedures governing the pitch presentation, evaluation process, and other requirements of the competition.
Failure to sign the Finalist Agreement within the specified deadline will be deemed a withdrawal from the finalist status, and the Organizer reserves the right to replace the entry with an alternate submission.
The following awards will be presented to selected projects following the second-round evaluation:
First Prize (1 winner): NT$150,000 and a certificate.
Second Prize (1 winner): NT$60,000 and a certificate.
Third Prize (1 winner): NT$30,000 and a certificate.
Prize money is subject to applicable withholding taxes and the National Health Insurance supplementary premium in accordance with Taiwanese law. Payment will be remitted within 30 days after the winning project team completes the prize collection procedures
Award recipients shall enter into a screenplay licensing agreement or other cooperation agreement with the Organizer in respect of their winning screenplay. The rights granted under each award are as follows:
- First Prize
The Organizer shall acquire all proprietary copyrights in the winning screenplay and shall hold all rights relating to its subsequent investment, development, adaptation, production, distribution, marketing, and other forms of exploitation. - Second Prize and Third Prize
The award recipient shall grant the Organizer an exclusive, perpetual audiovisual development license for the winning screenplay. The Organizer shall have the right to develop, adapt, finance, produce, and distribute the project.
The actual scope of the rights granted, and the rights and obligations of each party, shall be governed by the agreement(s) executed between the Organizer and the award recipient.
Finalist and Award Winner Guidelines
- Finalists must sign the Finalist Agreement within the specified deadline. Failure to do so will be deemed a withdrawal from the finalist stage, and the Organizer reserves the right to replace the entry with an alternate submission.
- Each finalist will be invited to deliver a project presentation (pitch) and participate in a discussion at a venue designated by the Organizer. The date and format of the presentation will be confirmed by both parties separately. For international participants, the Organizer may arrange online presentations.
- Finalists must submit the final version of their pitch deck by the specified deadline. Failure to submit the deck or to complete the pitch in the agreed format or within the designated timeframe will be deemed a withdrawal from the competition, and the Organizer reserves the right to replace the entry with an alternate submission.
- Upon completion of all finalist presentations, the Organizer will conduct the final evaluation based on the quality of the pitch, development potential of the screenplay, and the overall collaboration prospects. The evaluation results and prize claiming procedures will be announced separately
- Upon execution of the agreement between the First Prize winner and the Organizer, the finalist award shall be deemed included in the consideration for the assignment of copyright ownership. For the other selected winners, the finalist award shall be deemed included in the licensing fee payable under the agreement. Accordingly, the Organizer shall not make any separate payment of the finalist award.
- All prize money is subject to applicable withholding taxes and the National Health Insurance supplementary premium in accordance with Taiwanese law. The net amount will be remitted to the award recipient's designated bank account.

Eligibility and Submission Terms
- By submitting a screenplay, applicants represent and warrant that the work is original and that they own all copyrights and other intellectual property rights. Participants shall not plagiarize, reproduce, or otherwise misappropriate the works of others. Any such conduct, once verified, will result in immediate disqualification from the competition. Participants shall bear sole responsibility for any copyright infringement or other legal liability arising from their submitted works, and the Organizer shall have no responsibility or liability in connection therewith. In addition, if a Participant infringes upon the rights of any third party or violates any applicable laws or regulations, thereby causing the Organizer to become subject to any claim, demand, liability, administrative penalty, or other action by a third party or a competent authority, the Participant shall indemnify and hold the Organizer harmless against all losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses incurred as a result thereof.
- Participants may use generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools to assist in or create their submitted works. Participants shall retain records of the creative process, including but not limited to the name(s) of the AI tool(s) used, prompts (Prompt/Instructions), generation records, revision history, and any other materials sufficient to demonstrate the creation process of the submitted work. Upon the Organizer's request, Participants shall provide such materials within the specified time period.
- With respect to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the creation of submitted works, the Organizer may conduct a reasonable review based on its judgment and with the assistance of technical tools. Such review may be conducted based on the information provided by the Participant, the content of the submitted work, and other relevant technical means.
If, following such review or comparison, the Organizer determines that a submitted work constitutes plagiarism, imitation, misappropriation, infringement of any third party's intellectual property rights, or is substantially similar to any pre-existing work of another person, the Organizer may disqualify the Participant or revoke any award granted, and may require the return of any prize or prize money already awarded. In the event of any dispute, the Organizer's determination shall be final. - Applicants may submit more than one screenplay. However, each submission must be a different work. The same screenplay may not be submitted simultaneously to another competition, funding program, or similar initiative during overlapping submission or evaluation periods, including programs whose submission period has ended but whose results have not yet been announced.
- Submitted screenplays must not have entered development or production prior to submission. This includes, without limitation, projects that have entered into cooperation or option agreements with third parties, or have previously been shortlisted or awarded in non-governmental competitions or programs (government-sponsored awards are exempt; please refer to the application form on the official website for details). Screenplays that have been submitted to other competitions but were not shortlisted remain eligible, provided that the previous submission is disclosed in the application form and the applicant confirms that the screenplay is free of any third-party rights or other encumbrances.
- For co-written screenplays, all co-authors must be listed in the application form, and one of whom must be designated as the primary contact. By submitting the application, all co-authors agree to these Submission Terms. If the screenplay is shortlisted, all co-authors must also sign the Finalist Agreement.
- By applying, applicants acknowledge that they have read and accepted all competition rules, including the Finalist Guidelines, and consent to the Organizer's collection and processing of their personal data for purposes related to the competition. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification, forfeiture of any awards or prize money, recovery of payments already made, and liability for any resulting losses incurred by the Organizer.
- The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Terms and any other competition rules at any time. Any revisions will be published on the official event website. The Organizer also reserves the right to make the final interpretation of these Terms and all matters relating to the competition.
Collection and Use of Personal Data
- Participants agree that Wanin International Visual Enterprise Ltd. may, in accordance with the applicable Personal Data Protection Act, collect, process, and use the personal data provided by the Participants (including, without limitation, their name, email address, and Facebook account information). Such personal data shall be retained, processed, and used until the Participant requests that the Organizer delete such data or cease its processing or use.
- The personal data provided by Participants will be used by the Organizer for purposes related to the administration of the Competition, including, without limitation, sending confirmation emails and verifying Participants' identities.
Participants have the right, at any time, to request access to their personal data, obtain a copy thereof, request correction of inaccurate personal data, request that the Organizer cease collecting, processing, or using, or request a deletion of their personal data. However, such rights shall not apply where the collection, processing, or use of the personal data is necessary for the Organizer to administer the Competition.
If a Participant provides false, inaccurate, or incomplete personal data, the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the Participant from the Competition or revoke any award granted.
